Sniffles, Sore Throat & Santa!!

I had been looking forward to Christmas back in the UK since we got back from our travels and I wasn't disappointed as I had a magical time. However, I was dealt a bad hand a few days ago when I came down with quite a bad cold and have suffered with it all over Christmas, but I wasn't going to let it ruin this special time of year. We spent our time visiting family and friends and this is the first year I've felt like both sides are starting to become one big family, it's a wonderful feeling. Here are a few photies from over the past few days.

I've been good all year Santa...honest

4 more sleeps to go
4 more sleeps till Santa
4 more sleeps till the big fat fella comes down your chimney and give you pressies
4 more sleeps till Santa......

WOOOO HOOOO!!!

Ok, so if you don't know the Nottingham 96.2 Trent FM radio jingle then this will probably seem a bit wierd, but whoop it up people coz...."Santa Claus is coming to town"
Got our first presents off family yesterday and along came the tingly, excitedness of wanting to
know what's inside.

Tis' the season to be jolly!

As I'm feeling very crappy at the moment, I thought I would make a list of all the things I'm still enjoying;

1) Five Life (on sky) Every episode of Dawsons Creek is shown nightly at 7pm, tonight it's the beauty pageant, yeah!
2) Chocolate Orange Hobnobs, Mmm Mmm!
3) Cheesy TV Christmas films
4) Prisonbreak, what a hottie!
5) My Christmas tree, it's still alive and smelling great
6) My slobbing tracky bottoms
7) Gourmet Pringles, I seriously can't stop

Ok, I tried to make it to 10 but can't really think of any more so I wont force it. Kinda bummed at myself as Christmas is supposed to be a happy time and here I am stuggling to find reasons for being happy, gotta get that Christmas spirit back from somwhere.

....and rest

Last night was the first night in 2 weeks that I was able to relax. I found out the other day that I may be out of a job by mid Jan, so I decided it was time to take control of my life again and not just live through each day. All of my spare time has been spent on 3 application forms and although it's been a week since I handed one of them in (so prob not got an interview) all the work I've done has made it easier to fill out future applications.

Anyway, with Christmas only around the corner I refuse to dwell on hard times. We bought our wonderful smelling Christmas tree the other day and it is now standing proud in our living room (still not bought a camera, so no pics of it yet).

Note to self for next year...'Do not open the Quality Streets tin until the week before Christmas'
